The south of Kansai is famous for its onsen (hot springs)... From Gojo, mainy of them can be reached within 2 hours, offering endless daytrip opportunities... Note however that when going there by public transportations (that is, bus), the trip would better be smartly planned... Here is the bus' timetable: On our way, we stopped to see the longest suspended bridge in Japan, that can be crossed only by foot (Totsukawa Mura Ueno ji)... A very impressive spot: not all of us decided to walk on it (check Cedric's page for details)!
Here is the onsen we visited, located near a beautiful river - we were only the three of us in the bath, it was really pleasant. Unfortunately, as usually, the water was really, really hot (44°C). It seems that Japanese like that, we you consider that all sento (public bathes found in all cities - including Tokyo) offer water at the same temperature...
And some pictures of a nice traditionnal place where we had lunch... $table="ez_logezboojapan"; include ("/home/sites/site34/users/ced/web/stat/write_logs.php"); ?> |
