Shinjuku is one of the busiest place of Tokyo, with huge buildings... But describing it is really difficult. Just come and see by yourself!
Shinjuku-gyoen is one of the biggest park of the city (57.6 hectares, located in the middle of the town). Interestingly, it was open only in 1906, and features mainly European gardens, although a Japanese garden with 2 tea houses can also be found.
With 53.4 hectares, Yoyogi-gyoen is really like a forest in the middle of the town, since this place was mainly left wild, just between Shinjuku and Shibuya. The famous Meiji shrine is located in it.
Convenient is you need some help... you can find charms for almost everything, for a few yens: for love, entrance examination, child delivery, etc, etc. But don't forget to purify yourself before entering!
